I am a Nashville based photographer exploring the beauty, color and structure of sunlight.

For over five years, I have photographed sunlight shaped by optical prisms, capturing images at the intersection of art, science and photography. Each image originates from energy produced deep inside our sun thousands of years ago. After a journey of 93,000,000 miles the photons land on the camera sensor of a 45.7 mega-pixel Nikon D850. That’s when the magic happens.

What began as a fascination for rainbows developed into an ongoing study of color, light, geometric shapes and Time. The Earth and Sun are in constant motion. Each image only last for moments. The images cannot be recreated or repeated. The images are a unique moment in Time captured by photography.

The resulting photographs range from vivid fields of color to complex geometric compositions and grayscale studies that reveal the previously unseen architecture, composition and design of sunlight.

I believe these images can bring a sense of connection, energy, hope and possibility to spaces in which we live and work. Because every environment is unique. I prefer to work directly you, the client, architect, designer or creative team to discuss the image, scale, orientation, and presentation best suited to a particular space.

Let’s talk about it.
