I am a Nashville based photographer exploring the beauty, color and nature of sunlight.
For over five years, I have photographed sunlight shaped by optical prisms, capturing images at the intersection of art, photography and science.
Each image begins as energy, photons, produced deep inside our Sun. After a journey of thousands of years, the light finally makes it way to the Sun’s surface, the energy then begins its 93,000,000 miles journey to the 45.7 mega-pixel sensor on my Nikon D850.
That’s when the magic happens!
What began as a fascination with rainbows has developed into and ongoing study of color, light, geometric form and Time.
The resulting photographs range bright, vivid fields of color to complex geometric compositions and grayscale studies that reveal an architecture and structure within sunlight we rarely have an opportunity to see.
I believe these images can bring a sense of connection, energy, hope and possibility to the spaces in which we live and work.
Because every environment is unique, I prefer to work directly with you-the client, architect, designer or creative team to discuss the image, scale, orientation and presentation best suited to your space.
Let’s talk about it.
