Why?

It began when I was nine years old. I began noticing the bright, vibrant colors of the sunset, oranges, reds and yellows. Eventually, I began photographing flowers and butterflies, then landscapes and city skylines. In 2005, my son Matthew fell ill. For the next 15 years, Matthew and I spent many months in hospitals across the country. I noticed the bland art on hospital walls. The art did nothingto help the healing process. Hospitals contained no energy or positivity. So, I began capturing images with bright, vibrant colors and textures. I hope you enjoy my work.
